Severin Sea Lodge Bamburi Beach is located directly on the shores of the Indian Ocean on Bamburi Beach, approximately 12 kilometers from Mombasa Town. The Moi International Airport is 20 kilometers away and can be reached in about 30 minutes by car.

188 rooms and suites are equipped with hand-made wooden furniture and designed in a classic natural style. The guestrooms are divided into standard rooms, deluxe rooms, and suites. Each guestroom is tastefully fitted with air conditioning, mosquito net, telephone, room safe, and dressing table. The suites have tea/coffee-making facilities, bedrooms, and separate living rooms. The onsite restaurants have local and international dishes that are prepared from vegetables obtained from the lodge’s organic garden.

The Kisima Restaurant serves a la carte menus to the themed buffets. The Safari Bistro has an Italian theme to its menu, specializing in pizza and pasta. The restaurant also serves ice cream and pastries. Imani Dhow Restaurant is an old-stranded sailing dhow that serves á la carte seafood and international cuisine. The Safari Bar features an amazing 360° bar counter with a lively meeting point for refreshments of guests’ choice and pre-dinner cocktails.

Cappuccino and Espresso Coffees are also served in the bar. Severin Sea Lodge Bamburi Beach Mombasa North Coast has 2 conference venues: The Makutano Conference Hall and The Johari Terrace. The hall features state-of-the-art equipment. The lodge offers ideal venues for weddings and other outdoor activities. There are 2 swimming pools (one with a Jacuzzi and one with a counter-current) with comfortable sun beds on the terrace.

The KENBALI wellness and fitness area features two individual massage rooms and a dressing suite. There is a gym where guests can use professional training equipment like a treadmill, cross trainer, stepper, bike, and weight bench.

Karibu Class / Standard rooms

Karibu Class/ Standard rooms are in the main building (20 rooms). All rooms have twin beds, mosquito net, shower, WC, individual air-conditioning, telephone, SEVERIN hair dryer, room safe, wireless LAN, lounge area, balcony, or terrace. Karibu Class/ Standard rooms located in Bungalows (44 rooms). The same facilities as in the main building. In addition, these rooms are equipped with a minibar and offer king-size beds.

Comfort Class rooms

Comfort Classrooms are located in bungalows (62 rooms) and the main building (52 rooms). Comfort classrooms are furnished with handmade Lamu-style furniture. All rooms have aer, WC, some with 2 washbasins, individual air-conditioning, mosquito net, some with additional ceiling fan, telephone, mainly with LCD flat screen with satellite TV, SEVERIN hair dryer, coffee/tea making facilities, room safe, mini bar, Wireless-LAN, lounge area, balcony or terrace, fruit basket on arrival.

IMANI Dhow Restaurant: Imani Dhow is a Sailing Boat

Severin Sea Lodge welcomes you on board one of the finest restaurants in Mombasa! The Imani Dhow is a sailing boat built over thirty years ago – a so-called Zanzibar Jahazi. In former times, it was used for trading between Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Tangiers, and Mombasa.

The Severin Sea Lodge dhow was mainly made of goods such as mangrove wood, cotton, and corn on the cob. The sailing boat weighs about 90 tons and has a boarding crew of 16. Imani means trust in workers ‘ language.

Local workmen have converted it into a restaurant for fish and seawater. Choose from the wonderful menu created by Severin Sea Lodge’s head cook on board – between lobster, crabs, and fresh oysters. For dessert, it is a pleasure to serve you an exotic mousse made from passion fruit. The restaurant is open for dinner.

Severin Sea Lodge Kisima Main Restaurant

Set menus and themed buffets await you at the Kisima Restaurant. You will have a varied meal daily. Enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the restaurant while enjoying the fine food and the friendly service. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Located in the shadow of a big flame tree, the “Al Fresco” bistro offers delicious Italian cuisine, specializing in pizza baked in a stone oven and fine pasta for lunch and dinner. Late riser’s breakfast is also served here.
