Sunshine Bay Hotel Zanzibar is a beach lodge located off the North-East coast of Zanzibar, in the Matemwe area. The lodge is about an hour drive from the airport and the capital, Stone Town.

Sunshine Bay Zanzibar Beach Hotel offers 12 spacious Sunshine Suite rooms and 4 larger Sunshine Swahili rooms. The rooms are in three types: Deluxe Suite with Ocean View, Suite with Partial Ocean View and Suite with Garden View.

Deluxe Suite with Ocean View–  located at the end of the lodge near the Sunshine Bay private beach, overlooks both the blue ocean and the turquoise pool surrounded by lush greenery. Aligned with the building traditions of Zanzibar and furnished with earthy warm color tones of Mother Africa. Architectural elements create well designed living spaces decorated with local art pieces. Private balcony or terrace furnished with comfortable furniture offers the finest view of the Indian Ocean.

Suite with Partial Ocean View – located on the first floor, the room offer the best of both worlds, the Zanzibarian lush flora from below and the vast blue Indian Ocean. Furnished suites inspired by the rich East African culture add extra amenities for the most comfortable stay in a well thought out space with en suite bathroom, sofa-Swahili bench and writing desk. Private balcony or terrace fitted with cozy furniture provide the ideal spot for relishing the salty sea breeze.

Suite with Garden View –  Situated in a peaceful area of the lodge for those who are seeking a relaxing vacation close to nature. Staying true to the Swahili beach style, earthy terracotta tones and colorful textiles set the tone for a comfortable stay with an en suite bathroom and three fans per room for excellent airflow. A spacious furnished patio with chairs connects the bungalow with the rest of the lodge. Available option of double or twin beds.

The cleaning staff washes linens, towels and laundry in accordance with local authority guidelines and uses cleaning chemicals that are effective against coronavirus. Guests have the option to cancel any cleaning services for their accommodation during their stay.
