The Manor at Ngorongoro Crater

Manor at Ngorongoro is reminiscent of an elegant, up-country farm home in the Cape Dutch style of architecture. Located 160 Kilometers from Arusha, the lodge is adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the 1500-acre, Shangri-La Estate in Northern Tanzania. The nearest Airstrip is Lake Manyara Airstrip.

The Manor at Ngorongoro consists of 20 luxury cottages. Each Manor Cottage Suite has its own private entrance, and adjoining private sun terrace. A double open-fronted log-burning fireplace divides a room interior that mirrors the traditional Cape Dutch architecture.

The ensuite bath and shower room possesses a Victorian-style claw-footed bath, as well as twin vanity basins and a large ‘rainfall’ shower. Each with period-style furniture, working fireplaces both indoors and outdoors, panoramic views from their own private courtyards & decking, and en-suite bathrooms designed for ultimate indulgence with large free-standing bathtubs & powerful rain showers.

There is 1 three-bedroom family cottage (The Stable Cottage) which has a separate entrance to each bedroom & deck and can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. All cottages have home entertainment centers, private dining areas, courtyards, and a large living area. Guests can dine privately in the accommodation, and be thoroughly immersed in the enjoyment of those all-too-rare family holidays.

The Manor at Ngorongoro has a mouthwatering menu of intercontinental and African cuisine which is served in the dining conservatory or formal dining room. With a private wine cellar, wine can be found to complement any meal and there is a fantastic bar for an evening tipple.

Guests can enjoy an array of activities such as lunch on the Ngorongoro Crater Floor, a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park, and horse riding around the 1500-acre coffee estate.

This luxury manor has plenty to do within the grounds as well with tennis courts, a sauna & steam room, a home theatre, a library, Safari Boutique & Art Gallery, and a snooker room.
