Tijara Beach Resort Pungu Mombasa South Coast is a luxury hideaway situated in the Pungu Beach Area, about 10 kilometers south of Mombasa.

Moi International Airport is about an hours’ drive from the resort.

There are 4 luxurious cottages, each beautifully sited on its own coral cliff head, with magnificent views of the turquoise waters of the warm Indian Ocean.

The cottages feature carved doors and high makuti thatch. There are handcrafted Swahili furniture with ornate carvings and rich decoration, tasteful decor and rich warm lighting.

Each cottage has a large private deck where guests can bask in the sun in an open area or keep cool under a huge makuti roof, refreshed by the gentle caress of the ever present monsoon breezes.

The bathrooms are en-suite with double wash basins, double showers and uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.

Different Swahili coastal cuisines are offered in the resort and guests may enjoy their meals in the alfresco dining room.

There is an outdoor swimming pool offers a great way to refresh or simply laze on the sun-bed listening to the roar of the ocean, reading a  book while sipping on a cocktail.

Tijara Beach Resort Pungu Mombasa South Coast has well manicured lawns, exquisite shrubs and both indigenous and exotic trees where a variety of animal, bird and butterfly species frequent.

Guests can enjoy spa treatments like massage, manicure, pedicure and beauty treatments in the privacy of the cottage.

Activities in Tijara include snorkeling, reef walks, beach walks,  cave walk, bird watching, scuba diving, kite surfing, deep sea fishing, wind surfing, French boules and croquet.

Guests can enjoy visits to the Shimba Hills Game Reserve, Elephant Sanctuary, Mombasa town and Bamburi Nature Trails.
