Travelers Mwaluganje Elephant Camp Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary sits on about 200 acres on the Mwaluganje Hills, in the heart of the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary.
The camp is a mere 45 kilometers southwest of Mombasa. Moi International Airport is about a 1.5-hour drive from the camp.
There are 20 guest tents with twin beds and also with private verandahs where guests can catch the breathtaking scenery.
Each tent has a mosquito net and an en-suite bathroom with a small washbasin, flush toilet, and shower. The onsite restaurant has a viewing deck overlooking the waterholes.
Guests can enjoy their meal in the restaurant or on the deck. The well-stocked bar serves soft drinks, beers, and spirits.
African fish eagles, monitor lizards and hornbills are regular visitors throughout the day, and bush babies are often seen at night.
The camp is not fenced, so other wildlife may also wander by on their way to the watering hole on the property.
