3 Days 2 Nights Campi Ya Kanzi Lodge Flying Safari take you to Chyulu Hills for Masai-led walking safaris and traditional game drives and also offers you the opportunity to learn and participate in one of their goals: that is to help the Masai in preserving their wildlife and cultural heritage.

Learn about their lifestyle, land and culture and give something back to Africa. The Camp is 1 hour by private charter from Nairobi and has its own airstrip about a 10 minutes drive away.

Air transfers are offered also from Malindi, Mombasa, Taveta and Namanga. The drive from Nairobi is about 6 hours. We suggest flying versus driving).

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Tsavo Chyulu Hills
After Breakfast you will be transferred to Wilson airport for the scheduled flight to Tsavo West National Park.

Upon arrival proceed for a game drive south towards Kilimanjaro into the magnificent Chyulu Hills on the southern border of Tsavo West National Park arriving at your accommodations, Campi Ya Kanzi.

Your accommodation for the next two nights is at Campi Ya Kanzi, a small and luxurious permanent tented camp (only 6 tents) in an unspoiled wilderness.

The tents are the huge walk in variety with wooden floors and an en suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and flush toilets.

Campi Ya Kanzi is tastefully appointed using locally available materials, and is very eco-friendly (solar power, conscientious use of natural resources etc).

The area offers incredible views of Kilimanjaro, and you will have game drives into Tsavo West national Park (famed for its ‘red’ elephants and of course the legendary “man-eaters”) or on the Masai tribal lands which serve as a nature conservancy.

You can also go for guided nature walks with Masai guides who are still living very closely to their traditional lifestyle. You’ll wish you had a week here.

Days 2: Explore Tsavo Chyulu Hills
Two full days to explore Campi Ya Kanzi area and view wildlife in game drives or walking…you’ll plan your day with the hosts and owners of Campi Ya Kanzi, Luca and Antonella Bonomi (they also supervise the Italian cuisine).

Wildlife likely to see you include; leopard cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, oryx, eland and other plains game, crocodile and small mammals like mongoose, hyrax, dik dik and the nocturnal porcupine.

Day 3: Tsavo Chyulu Hills – Fly Nairobi
This morning you may want to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for the airstrip where you will board the scheduled flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met and transferred to Norfolk Hotel for dayroom until your evening transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight out.
