Maasai Simba Camp Amboseli is located in Merrueshi Ranch in the village of Merrueshi, 30 km from Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The camp is just 35 minutes away from Emali train station on A109 and 40 minutes away from Loitokitok town on the Tanzanian border &  2.5 hours away from Nairobi city. The village of Merrueshi, where Simba camp is located, is a major wildlife corridor between Amboseli and the picturesque mountain range of Chyulu Hills National Park. The camp has three types of accommodations; 6 charming guest rooms, 4 rock cabins, and 5 Hemingway-style Safari tents.

Maasai Simba Camp Amboseli has 8 cottages and 6 Hemingway-style Safari tents. Each tent has its own private veranda with safari chairs. The guestrooms have a mosquito net, work desks, and 1 double or 2 single beds.

Each cottage has 1 bedroom and features Mazera stones floor, thatched roof, mosquito net, luggage rack, closet, and work desk. The bathrooms are en-suite fitted with flush toilets and hot showers.

The onsite restaurant serves African, Asian, European, and American cuisine from fresh and organic ingredients. The well-stocked bar offers a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks including beer and wine.

Maasai Simba Camp Amboseli has a spacious and cozy gathering room with a high ceiling and traditional thatch roof, which keeps the area cool from the African sun.

Attached is a small library with a beautiful collection of books and magazines. Guests can play games, read a book, interact with the guides, or just relax and watch velvet monkeys and hundred species of birds as they hop from one tree to the next.

Activities available from Maasai Simba Camp Amboseli include;  nature walks, Maasai village visits, visiting the local schools, bush dinners, hiking Chyulu hills, sundowners, game drives, bird walks, and bead-making with the local women.

Guests can also enjoy walking with giraffes, learn to throw a spear, shoot some arrows, try archery skills, play volleyball and soccer on a sandy river bed, and explore the galaxy at night.

Children can also enjoy themselves by interacting with Maasai children, herding sheep and goats, building toys using local materials, and playing soccer, Mancala, or other popular local games.
