Day 1 Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive

0800 Hours: Depart from Nairobi for a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards Naivasha

1000 Hours: Arrive at Lake Naivasha for a boat safari. Spot hippo pods, African fish eagles, and various waterfowl

1100 Hours: Take a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can walk among giraffes and zebras in a predator-free environment.

1300 Hours: Proceed to Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary for check-in at your accommodation (e.g., Chui Lodge), followed by lunch

1530 Hours: Embark on an afternoon game drive within the sanctuary. Look for leopards, cheetahs, and the endangered African wild dog.

1800 Hours: Enjoy a sundowner with views of the Mau Escarpment

1900 Hours onwards: Return for dinner. Lodge guests often have the option of a night game drive to spot nocturnal species like aardvarks and bat-eared foxes

Day 2 Morning Game Drive & Departure

0630 Hours: Early morning game drive or a guided bush walk along the shores of Lake Oloidien. This is the best time for birdwatching and leopard sightings

Naivasha Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary 2 Days 1 Night safari is an authentic African photographic safari to Kenya’s most respected private game sanctuary called Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary.

Naivasha Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary lies on the shores of Lake Oloidien (once part of Lake Naivasha) in the Great Rift Valley. Nairobi is only a 1½-hour drive away.

It borders both Lake Naivasha and Lake Oloidien – the highest lakes along the floor of the rift Valley. The 18,000-acre Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary is enclosed in a 45 km electric fence.

The Sanctuary has a very successful Rhino breeding program, the protection of the very rare Grevy’s Zebra, and the creation of a stable and safe environment for leopards (with one of the highest leopard-spotting rates in all of Kenya!).

The Conservancy hosts a variety of large predators, including the spotted and striped hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, servals, caracals, and African wild dogs.

Herbivores include White Rhino, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Wildebeest, Topi, Thompson gazelles, bushbuck, Somali ostrich, and the Greater Kudu, giraffes, buffaloes, elands, hartebeest, gazelles, zebras, and hippos.

Sundowners: Around a roaring log fire after an unforgettable game drive is the perfect way to end the day here in Naivasha.

Bird watching: The Sanctuary contains over 300 identified bird species including the largest population of ‘Grey Crested Helmet Shrikes

Lake Oloidien: Guests can explore the shores of Lake Oloidien with its masses of waterfowl including Pelicans, and flamingos, and the yellow-barked Acacia forests where leopards frequent for the many plains game.

This can be done by foot or by 4-wheel drive vehicles.

Visit the Flower Farms: Where they grow Roses, Carnations, Fillers, Sunflower, Eucalyptus, Cocollus, Viburnum, Fern, Echinacea, Alstroemeria, Solidago, and Phlox

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Lake Naivasha Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary

0800 Hours: Our exciting & fun adventure road trip from Nairobi takes us through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha.

1000 Hours: Enjoy a boat ride around Lake Naivasha. From the boat trip on the lake, you get close to Cormorants drying their wings, pink-backed Pelicans, Herons, colorful Kingfishers, and Fish Eagles. Other birds seen around the lake include the Goliath Heron, Jacana, Great White Egret, White-fronted Bee-eater, and Saddle-billed Stork.

1100 Hours: Visit Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary. There are a lot of easy-to-see game while on foot, e.g., giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas. It is also a haven for birds, with over 200 species recorded. The lake has many hippos, which you can easily spot on the island.

1300 Hours: Drive to Naivasha Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary. Check in at your hotel and lunch follows.

1530 Hours: Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary, where you will possibly see hyena, leopard, cheetah, and African wild dog. Others include the White Rhino, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Wildebeest, Topi, Thompson gazelles, bushbuck, Somali ostrich, and the Greater Kudu, giraffes, buffaloes, elands, hartebeest, gazelles, zebras, and hippos.

1830 Hours: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
