Location & Accessibility

The lodge is located just north of Voi, adjacent to Tsavo East National Park, offering highly convenient access via road, air, and the modern SGR train.

By Train (Recommended)

The modern SGR train is the quickest and most convenient way to reach the lodge. The local Voi station is less than 20 minutes from the sanctuary entrance. (Complimentary transfers can be arranged with prior notice.)

Note: The majority of the roadways within the Sanctuary are dirt tracks. A 4×4 vehicle with reasonable ground clearance is highly recommended.

Ngutuni Lodge is a luxury safari lodge nestled in the heart of a 10,000-acre private Ngutuni Game Sanctuary, surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park. The lodge is approximately a 15-minute drive from Tsavo’s east main gate, a 2.5-hour drive from Mombasa, and 335 km from Nairobi.

Ngutuni Lodge overlooks a water hole and is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills. There are 48 guestrooms, each sleeping up to 3 people in one single and one double bed. The guestrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, and many have interconnecting doors.

The 48 guest rooms are housed in two-story buildings, with 12 rooms each, on either side. The guestrooms can accommodate up to 133 guests. Each guestroom features a telephone, a ceiling fan, a work desk, natural-tone curtains, floor rugs, and a private wooden balcony with a seating area.

All rooms are the same size and offer ample space for wheelchair users, though the bathrooms have showers only. The lodge staff can also provide assistance, if required, for movement around the property. The bathrooms are en-suite with showers and flush toilets. The onsite restaurant serves local and international cuisine.

Meals are prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.  The main lounge and dining area are located in a central structure with wide verandas that offer excellent vantage points for viewing wildlife. Guests can enjoy stunning wildlife views while dining outdoors. The well-stocked bar serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Guests can watch animals through the night from the privacy of their balconies or during the daytime from the open-plan bar and restaurant deck. The lodge’s water hole attracts animals throughout the day & night.
