Castel Mara Camp Masai Mara is a mid-range accommodation facility located just 10 minutes away from Masai Mara Park’s Sekenani gate. The camp is situated in the midst of the great Kenyan Savanna in Siana bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve.

The lodge is located approximately 255 km from Nairobi. Driving time takes about 5 hours and 1 hour by air from Wilson Airport Nairobi. Activities available from the camp include; Enjoy day game drives, night game drives, nature walks, a visit to Maasai manhattans, bush dinners, and bush breakfasts.

Castel Mara Camp Masai Mara features 5 fantastic tents that are completely decked out and situated in a grove of native trees. Each unit can house up to four visitors with a queen-size bed or twin-size bed configuration. Either bed option comes with high-quality bedding.

On opposite sides of the tent and there is a pleasant seating area that looks out over the woodland. This tent provides plenty of features and services to guarantee a comfortable stay. Includes a double sink, luxurious Egyptian sheets, subtle lighting, a bathroom with hot showers, a study table, and lots more.

You can enjoy a delightful cup of coffee before starting your day, as you lounge on the wooden deck, taking in the fresh air of Masai Mara. Supplies for your coffee are provided, as well as a tea maker, so you can relax and recharge!

The wonderfully crafted cottage-styled timber Club House is a perfect starting point for your holiday. Enjoy your welcome drink, an afternoon or sundowner cocktail, or any of your meals at the Club House dining, terrace lounge, or bar overlooking the water hole just across the electric fence.

You can have your meals at the Club House or, weather permitting, enjoy a bush or campfire-side dining experience. The dining experience is customized to meet the special dietary needs of our clients whilst incorporating and encouraging them to enjoy an African dining experience.

Enjoy authentic Kenyan-themed meals like our “nyama-choma” from locally sourced meat, “ugali” and “mukimo” or join in the fun of roasting maize or some potatoes at the campfire over drinks and hearty conversations.

There is plenty of activities to keep you engaged including a walking path around the twenty acres of forested land with its own ecosystem of small animals and a sizeable species of birds, a kitchen garden to visit, and pick some of the herbs to accompany your meals and an apiary from where we get some of the honey.

Evening entertainment and hands-on activities are conducted by local indigenous groups as part of our partnership with the neighboring local community – you’ll learn a Masai jig and how to light fire the traditional Masai way!
