1-Day Trip to Rubondo Island National Park: Itinerary Highlights

Morning Transfer: Depart Mwanza early (around 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM) for a 4–5 hour drive to Muganza or Nkome, followed by a 30-to-90-minute speedboat ride to the island.
Guided Activities: Upon arrival, engage in a guided forest walk (1–4 hours) to spot rare sitatunga antelopes, elephants, and giraffes.
Chimpanzee Tracking: While possible in a day, sightings are not guaranteed due to the dense forest; it typically requires pre-arranged permits.

Tour Price: A 1-day trip to Rubondo Island National Park includes a guided tour, return trip from Kasenda to Mlaga (transport from the mainland), a ranger/guide fee, and a walking safari. It also includes a daily TANAPA entry fee for 24 hours and Boat Safari/Transport.
