Kedong ranch Naivasha is situated in Rift valley on a hill between Lake Naivasha, Mount Longonot National park and Hellsgate National park on 82000 acres. It is not fenced.

The ranch has many species of wild animals which roam freely over the open plains and rocky lava flows.

1000 Hours: Arrive in Naivasha and proceed for a boat ride on the lake. A short boat trip from the mainland out into Lake Naivasha gives you access to the unique Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary.

A wide variety of wildlife, birdlife, and flora live quite freely out there, and as there are no predators to be found, they are quite happy as well.

There is a lot of easy-to-see game, e.g., giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas.

It is also a haven for birds, with over 200 species recorded. The lake has many hippos, which you can easily spot on the island.

Spend some time wandering around at your own pace and enjoy the peace and quiet broken only by the sounds of the Island’s wild inhabitants.
