2 Days 1 Night Naivasha Kigio Wildlife Conservancy Tour from Nairobi is a short overnight wildlife holiday to Kigio Wildlife Conservancy.

Kigio wildlife Conservancy situated in the heart of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley about 120 km’s from Nairobi, on the Nairobi to Nakuru road. The Conservancy is 26 km from Naivasha and 0.5 km before the Gilgil toll station.

The beautiful Kigio Wildlife Conservancy with its wide-ranging habitats, from riverine and euphorbia woodlands to short grass and Leleshwa shrubs holds over 3,500 heads of wildlife.

Wildlife in the conservancy is protected by an electric fence on three sides and the Malewa River on one. Animals to see include buffalo, impala, gazelle, eland, hyena, leopard, hippo and over 250 bird species.

Other activities include game walks, bike rides and fishing with knowledgeable local naturalists for a superb all-around safari experience.

Night game drives are also possible and very rewarding.

Bush Breakfast & Bush Lunches: Guests are treated to a bush breakfast or lunch by the river when weather permits

Fishing: Malewa River has good fishing and rods are available. We do however recommend that you bring your own rods

Nature Walks: Kigio Wildlife Conservancy offers delightful nature walks along the river or on the short grass plains. Guests have encountered a leopard on a few occasions.

Kigio Camp naturalists are highly knowledgeable about birds, trees and all the Kigio wildlife which makes nature walks entertaining.

Walks are complimentary and depart at scheduled times. Numbers are limited per walk

Biking: There are 7 bikes available for use by the guests. Bike rides depart at scheduled times, accompanied by the naturalist. Guests are always delighted with the experience

Game Drives: Both day and night game drives are possible at Kigio Wildlife Conservancy.

Daytime game-viewing focuses on the endangered Rothschild giraffe, plains game, eland, buffalo, warthog, hyena and the elusive leopard. Birdlife is exceptional too

Night game drives may reveal the aardvark, aardwolf, spring hare, leopard, serval, genet, hyena and other nocturnal wildlife

Day 1 : Nairobi – Drive Kigio Wildlife Conservancy

0800 Hours: After breakfast, depart by road (with a Safari bus) to Kigio Wildlife Conservancy  (3,500-acre conservancy) located 120 km’s  between Lake Naivasha and Gilgil.

1100 Hours: Arrive at the conservancy check-in at your hotel/ Lodge or camp and Lunch follows.

1530 Hours: Enjoy an evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which Kigio Wildlife Conservancy is famous.

Wildlife includes the Rothschild Giraffe, a 200 strong herd of buffalo, impala, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, eland, hyena, leopard, hippo and over 250 bird species

1830 Hours: Return to the camp/ lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kigio Wildlife Conservancy – Drive to Nairobi

0630 Hours: An early morning optional activities offered by the camp. You can choose to do a nature walk along the River or on the short grass plains, bike rides accompanied by the naturalist and fishing on Malewa River.

0930 Hours: Breakfast back at the camp or lodge

1200 Hours: Lunch then depart by road back to Nairobi.
