2 Days Kisumu Lake Nakuru National Park Safari is a thrilling overnight safari holiday to Lake Nakuru National Park best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores.

The Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

Wildlife includes hippos, water bucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and leopards.

Panoramic Viewpoints looking at the Lake include Lion Hill, Baboon Cliff and Out of Africa

Bird watching: Enjoy the fabulous water birds and other bird species. The best place to view the birds is from Baboon Cliff, where you get an excellent view over the lake and the wonderful spectacle of pink flamingos along its edge

Game Drives through the unique vegetation and the biggest euphorbia forest in Africa. Lake Nakuru National Park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals.

Wildlife in Nakuru Includes water bucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and, occasionally, leopards.

A large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

Day 1: Kisumu – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

0700 Hours: Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel in Kisumu then depart by road for Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is located 116 km from Kisumu.

The scenic drive from Kisumu takes you through Kericho town where you will see vast Sugarcane and Tea Plantations.

1200 Hours: Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park we proceed for a game drive en route to our hotel.

We check in to our hotel/ camp in time for lunch followed by rest time before the afternoon game drive.

The park is popular for pelicans and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total.

There are 56 different species of wild animals including white rhinos, buffalo, waterbuck etc.

1830 Hours: We return to our camp/ lodge

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Drive Kisumu 

0630 Hours: Enjoy an early morning game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for a full English breakfast.

1000 Hours: Depart with a game drive as you exit the park to Kericho town for lunch.

1300 Hours: Kericho is a Tea country which has positioned Kenya to be the world’s third-largest Tea producer after India and Sri Lanka.

1400 Hours: After lunch, enjoy an optional tea plantation guided walk at an extra cost than later proceed to Kisumu.

1700 Hours:  Arrive in Kisumu in the evening.
