This 2-day safari from Kisumu to Lake Nakuru National Park offers an intensive, one-night experience to explore one of Kenya’s premium parks, renowned for rhino sanctuaries, flamingo-lined shores, and Rothschild giraffes.

on day one, traveling through the Kericho tea estates for a 4-hour drive to Nakuru, with morning and evening game drives. 

The tour departs Kisumu early (approximately 0700 Hours) and includes scenic drives through the Kericho tea estates, lunch in Nakuru town or at the lodge inside Lake Nakuru National Park, an afternoon game drive, and panoramic views from Baboon Cliff.

Dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp in or near the park.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Return: Early morning game drive to catch nocturnal animals, followed by breakfast. Check out and drive back to Kisumu. 

The travel Time is approximately 3-4 hours from Kisumu to Nakuru, and transport is by safari van or 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof.

Day 1: Kisumu – Lake Nakuru National Park 

 0700 Hours – 1130 Hours: Depart Kisumu after breakfast, taking a scenic drive through the tea plantations of Kericho to Lake Nakuru National Park
1130 Hours – 1230 Hours: Enter the park via Lanet Gate and proceed to the lodge/camp for check-in
1230 Hours – 1430 Hours: Lunch at the accommodation followed by a short rest
1500 Hours – 1830 Hours: Afternoon game drive, visiting the shorelines to see pelicans and flamingos, followed by a visit to the Rhino Sanctuary and the Baboon Cliff for panoramic views.

A large herd of hippos has a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

0700 Hours: Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel in Kisumu then depart by road for Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is located 116 km from Kisumu.

The scenic drive from Kisumu takes you through Kericho town where you will see vast Sugarcane and Tea Plantations.

1200 Hours: Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park we proceed for a game drive en route to our hotel.

We check in to our hotel/ camp in time for lunch followed by rest time before the afternoon game drive.

The park is popular for pelicans and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total.

There are 56 different species of wild animals including white rhinos, buffalo, waterbuck etc.

1830 Hours: We return to our camp/ lodge
