Short flights between Wilson Airport and the Amboseli airstrip take less than an hour in a light aircraft. While Kilimanjaro is actually across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli has a perfect view of this world’s tallest freestanding mountain, rising an impressive 5 kilometers above the plains.

The best time to view the majestic mountain is at dawn and sunset when the clouds lift and the light is both clear and soft.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park

Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport straight into Amboseli (35 minutes). On arrival you will be game drive en route (1.5 Hours) to AA Amboseli Lodge.

Evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which the Amboseli is famous.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park

A full day in the Amboseli National Park with morning game drive followed by lunch at AA Amboseli Lodge and then evening game drive.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Fly to Nairobi

An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then transfer to Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
