3-Day Fly-In Safari Ashnil Mara Camp takes you to Ashnil Mara Camp, with 56 luxurious tents set overlooking the picturesque vast of Mara National Reserve and close to the Mara River famous for the wildebeest migration. The camp offers ensuite deluxe twin rooms, deluxe double rooms, and ensuite deluxe triple rooms.

Game drives are conducted in 4×4 vehicles, which are equipped to cover the rough terrains associated with safaris. Every year, thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cover the plains beneath the lodge’s grounds during their annual migration to the thick new grasses of the Serengeti.

Ashnil Mara camp is approximately 45 and 30 minutes from Keekorok & Olkiombo airstrip respectively, which are 2.5 hours and 45 minutes flights from Mombasa and Nairobi respectively. By road, it’s about 3 hours from Nairobi.

The camp is arguably in one of the very best positions in the Masai Mara for game viewing and also provides the perfect setting to sit and relax at the end of an exciting day of game drives.

Day 1: Nairobi City Hotel – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara. Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport straight into Masai Mara (50 minutes). On arrival, you will be transferred (10 minutes) to your lodge. Evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which the Mara is famous.

Day 2: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early to explore the Masai Mara National Park by open safari vehicle giving you a full 180-degree panoramic view of the African savanna search for all the iconic animal species including the Big 5 with a dedicated professional field guide, who will use expert knowledge of the area to interpret the natural environment for you in every detail.

The Mara is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.

Masai Mara is home to over 500 species of birds and over 100 species of animals.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Fly back to Nairobi

Early in the morning, you will enjoy your last game drive in the reserve, then return to the camp for breakfast and check out. You’ll be transferred to the airstrip as you bid the scenic Mara farewell.  On arrival at Wilson Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
