Enkorok Mara Camp

Enkorok Mara Camp is a budget and affordable safari-tented camp located on a private 30 acres of land in Masai Mara Siana’s Conservancy (Ololaimutia area) near the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is located about 4.5 hours drive (250 km) from Nairobi. By air, the camp is a 1-hour flight from Wilson Airport to Keekorok Airstrip in Masai Mara followed by a road transfer to the camp. The closest entrance to Masai Mara is the Ololaimutia gate, only 2.5 km from the camp,  whilst the Keekorok Airstrip is 20 km and Sekenani Gate is 25 km away. Enkorok Mara Camp is set on the banks of the Oloirigynyisho River where zebras, wildebeests, elephants, and other wildlife regularly come to drink water.

Enkorok Mara Camp features 21 spacious permanent tents (doubles, triples, and singles) including 2 Family tents that have been tastefully decorated and furnished with double beds and mosquito nets. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, washbasins, and hot showers. Each tent has its own veranda where guests can sit back and watch the bush, enjoying the views of the Oloolotikoshi Hills.  Enkorok Mara Camp facilities include bar and lounge areas, a shop selling locally-made products, and an airy restaurant designed in the style of a traditional African hut.

Enkorok Mara Camp activities include seeing the Wildebeest Migration Safari (July-October), day and night game drives, balloon safaris, bird watching, guided nature walks, Masai village visits, bush breakfast, lunch or dinner, sundowners, horseback safaris, fishing day trips to Mfangano island or Rusinga Island.

On safari in the Masai Mara, you can expect to see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino), and more. Other animals include dik-diks, zebra, wildebeest, Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impala, and hartebeests. For avid birders, the Masai Mara is home to around 450 resident species including large terrestrial species like ostriches and kori bustards, almost 60 species of raptors including the impressive bateleur, long-crested eagle and vultures as well as a plethora of smaller colorful and diverse species like lilac breasted rollers and violet-backed starlings.

Ololaimutia gate is located 2.5 km from the camp.  The Camp can be reached either by road or by air. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250 km.

It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45 minutes. Scheduled flights land at Keekorok Airstrip which is approximately 20 km away. Enkorok Mara Camp is setting standards by offering luxury services at affordable prices. 

The camp features accommodation in twin & double rooms, family suites, triple rooms & honeymoon suites. All the rooms are spacious and feature a hot Shower and a modern Bathroom, sockets, and an electricity facility with sunrise and sunset view.

The spacious and airy Tamu Tamu restaurant serves delectable meals and is designed as an African Hut which is a place where families eat together.  The circular design of the hut ensured that there was one focal point and people were close-knit in the African culture.

Enjoy meals that suit your diet i.e. Vegan, Kosher, Keto, and African delicacies. The team of experienced chefs will leave your mouth watering. Enjoy drinks, cocktails, and snacks from our bar while African music plays in the background. Guests are served in the restaurant which always offers delicious meals made of fresh and natural products.

In the evening, concerts, performances, and contests are waiting for the guests. Disabled people will be offered specially equipped rooms that have everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Free access to the Internet is provided. For the convenience of the guests, the reception desk works round the clock.

Enkorok Mara Camp activities include; hot air balloon safaris, guided nature walks, cultural walks, sundowners with a campfire, cultural dances, and visits to the Masai communities.
