At the start of this 3-Day Manyara Ranch Tented Camp luxury safari, you will be collected from Arusha for transfer to a secluded piece of unspoiled land in Manyara Ranch Conservancy.
Manyara Ranch Conservancy is a 35000-acre wilderness located in Makuyuni District in Manyara Region between Tarangire National Park and Manyara National Park in Tanzania. The drive from Arusha takes only 1 hour 30 minutes. The popular Ngorongoro Crater is just a two hours’ drive away.
Upon arrival, you will embark on a game drive in the Conservancy, home to healthy wildlife populations, including four of the Big 5 of Africa (Elephant, Lion, and Buffalo). Two hours in Manyara Conservancy gives us enough time to see many of the magnificent animals and varied birdlife found in this scenic reserve.
Enjoying a welcome drink at the luxury Manyara Ranch Tented Camp and later you are free to put your feet up and soak up the natural environment. Guests staying at this luxury Camp, will not encounter vehicles or safari-goers from elsewhere and have the entire area for their exclusive use – a real luxury.
In the late afternoon, we embark on a game drive in the conservancy, and unlike in the National Parks, the absence of time constraints and the freedom to go off-road, combined with good game viewing, make a stay at the Conservancy a highlight of any safari.
On the second day of this luxury Manyara Ranch Conservancy Safari, we rise early for a game drive in the private concession area of Manyara. An important migration route, it is home to good populations of resident wildlife, including Cheetah, Aardvark, Baboon, Eland, Giraffe, Hippo, Hyena, Oryx, Vervet Monkey, Wild Dog, and Wildebeest together with large numbers of plains game species.
Apart from mammals, around 350 species of birds have so far been identified. Guests can enjoy a wide range of activities including; day and night game drives, bush walks, game viewing from hides, cultural exchanges with the Maasai, and extensions to Tarangire and Manyara Parks and Ngorongoro Crater.
Having spotted an array of Manyara conservancy resident wildlife and watching a spectacular sunset, we return to the Manyara Ranch luxury tented camp, on the lookout for nocturnal creatures. A hearty dinner is a welcome sight. Your hostess and the camp staff ensure that you get pampered and enjoy personal service during your stay.
On the third and final day of this Luxury Manyara Ranch Conservancy Safari, we rise early for one more optional game drive in the private concession area of Manyara. After our sunrise game drive in Big 5 territory, we have breakfast back at the luxury Camp.
Then you are transferred by road back to Arusha in Tanzania. This affordable luxury Manyara Conservancy Safari comes to an end in Arusha OR at Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your onward flight.

Guided Walks: Experience the thrill of walking amongst big games with a professional guide at your side. Witness zebras grazing in the distance; lion sleeping peacefully in the shade of an acacia tree; or for that ultimate thrill, get close to the beautiful African giant, the elephant.
Game Drives: Explore the Conservancy by vehicle – on or off the beaten track. Animals include Aardvark, Baboon, Buffalo, Cheetah, Eland, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Hyena, Leopard, Lion, Oryx, Vervet Monkey, Wild Dog, and Wildebeest amongst others.
Night Game Drives: When darkness falls, a host of nocturnal animals appear out of nowhere. A drive at night with our spotters is a great way to see predators hunting and other nocturnal species putting on a show.
Spot the Aardvark, bouncing bush babies, lions, hyenas, jackals, and if you are lucky – even leopard.
Hides and Blinds: A number of hides and blinds have been established next to waterholes where guests can wait unseen for the game to come to drink and play. Viewing from hides provides some great wildlife action at close quarters.
Guests have witnessed many exciting events; lions stalking zebra or elephants with their young playing in the water. While watching, enjoy refreshing drinks and snacks to complement the experience.
Masai Village Visit: Take the opportunity to visit a Maasai at home to learn about their culture and way of life. These are genuine homes of neighbors and many of our camp staff and not “theme” villages established for tourists.
Visit a school: Guests are encouraged to experience a school visit to see part of the ongoing conservation efforts of Manyara Ranch primary school.

Day 1: Arusha – Drive to Manyara Ranch Conservancy
0830 Hours: Your Manyara Ranch Conservancy Tanzania Safari 3 Days Tour starts after breakfast when you depart for Manyara Ranch Conservancy – a wildlife-rich corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara.
Here, you will spend two days exploring and discovering, as per your own personalized safari schedule.
1000 Hours: Arrive at Manyara Ranch and proceed on a game drive en-route to the camp.
1230 Hours: Arrive at Manyara Ranch Tented camp in time for lunch.
1500 Hours: After settling in, go for an exploratory game drive on the conservancy, optionally stopping at a hide to observe wildlife coming to drink.
Around sunset, you will stop and enjoy a stunning sunset over the savannah while ice-cold sodas, beers, or wines along with some canapées are served.
After the sun has set you to start your night game drive to spot also nocturnal animals not be seen during the day. Cheetahs, lions, mongoose, and even the rare aardwolf are common sights.
1800 Hours: Enjoy a bush sundowner followed by dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 2: Full Day in Manyara Ranch Conservancy
The day starts at the break of dawn with some freshly brewed coffee or tea at your doorsteps before you get ready for an early morning game drive.
Depending on the manager’s schedule and your preferences the day is filled with safari activities at the private Manyara Ranch Conservancy.
During your safari game drive in Manyara Ranch Conservancy wildlife includes eland, greater kudu, striped hyena, bull elephant, breeding giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, Oryx, lion, cheetah, leopard, and the rarely seen bat-eared fox.
Activities often include also some time ‘at rest’ and watching animals along the river from hides and more – and all with a flair of unique Manyara Ranch luxury!
