Marula House Galu Beach Diani South Coast Mombasa; an eco-friendly Mini Boutique Hotel, situated on a stunning stretch of palm-fringed white beach on Kenya’s South Coast in Galu – Diani Beach, just steps away from the beach and warm Indian Ocean waters. You can take long walks north or south, especially at low tide. The garden is landscaped, and the beautiful mix of indigenous palm trees and other regional flora make the immediate and greater surroundings quiet, private, and pristine.
A drive from Ukunda airstrip is only 15 minutes. There are more and more daily, scheduled flights from Nairobi and Mombasa to Ukunda / Diani Beach. Mombasa airport is about a 1 ½ hour drive depending on arrival time, including the ferry. Mombasa Island and downtown are only 30 Km away, and this usually takes about 1 ½ hours, depending on ferry services.

Marula House Galu Beach Diani South Coast Mombasa; consists of the main house, which is set back from the beach with exquisite views, and a beach bungalow that is only a few footsteps from the warm Indian Ocean water. The main house and beach bungalow are available separately or together for larger groups.
The Main house
The main house sleeps 6 people in 3 rooms incl. en-suite bathrooms, with the possibility of adding an additional 3 beds for up to 6 children, and a powder room. The 2 front bedrooms have private terraces, offering beautiful views of the pool, the park-like garden, and the beach.
The beach bungalow sleeps 4 people in 2 double rooms inclusive of en-suite bathrooms with the possibility of sleeping one child on a sofa bed. It has its own splash pool and especially large windows provide views of one of the most picturesque beaches in the world – right from your beds.
The main house is set back in a beautiful, lush Palm-filled garden with views over the large pool and the beach. The interior is set in a spacious manner with an open, central kitchen and living area overlooking the large terrace and the beach.
Three en-suite rooms lead off of this central area. Marula House offers a covered terrace with a table for 8 and daybeds to relax, inside dining for up to 12, a living room area, 2 kitchens, and a powder room as well as an office and a TV room or chill-out lounge/library with 2-day beds (including one XXL family sized).
The office and lounge can be turned into bedrooms for the kids… Free Wifi and DSTV are available, maid services as well as security equipment and personnel as well. A unique and special feature of the main house is its koi ponds. One with waterlilies and a waterfall outside the entrance.
Marula Beach Cottage
Both bedrooms offer a fantastic, immediate view of the white sand and turquoise waters of the lagoon and the outer reef – directly from your beds. Marula Beach Cottage has its own splash pool in the center of the wooden deck ideal for cooling off after a long walk on the beach.
The cottage has a fully stocked, modern kitchen that separates the two bedrooms, a table for 4 under the covered deck, 2 double sun beds, and a hammock. Free Wifi is available, maid services as well as security equipment and personnel as well.
Modern design mixed with African style elements create a luxurious, contemporary, African ambiance, but with an obvious emphasis on casual. The unique and special feature of the beach bungalow is its very large windows and double glass doors which allow incredible views of the beach and the Indian Ocean from practically anywhere inside the house.
