Sagala Lodge Tsavo East

Sagala Lodge, Tsavo East National Park, is situated on a 5000-acre private wildlife park and animal sanctuary. The lodge is located along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, 345 km from Nairobi and 145 km from Mombasa, and is close to Tsavo East National Park. The lodge is 2 km off the main road. Voi town is 15 km from the lodge.

There is a campsite and 24 tastefully decorated bandas scattered in the lush gardens of the lodge. Each band has a double or twin bed, a private verandah with a lounge chair and dining area. The bathrooms are en-suite.

There is also a luxurious Oryx Suite that is perfectly positioned overlooking the Sagala Hills. This suite has a rooftop terrace, ideal for sundowners or bird watching. Guests are welcome to spend a relaxing day lounging by the swimming pool. The lodge also has a quality restaurant, lounge, and bar, as well as a lookout terrace.

You may wish to finish your evening sitting by the fire, a great place to have a nightcap and meet other guests. The camp has an airy, coconut-thatch-roofed restaurant that serves local and international meals, made with locally sourced fresh vegetables. The restaurant seats approximately 60 to 100 guests in the main restaurant.

The well-stocked bar serves a variety of refreshing drinks and creative cocktails. Sagala Lodge Tsavo has a conference hall that can hold 70 delegates. The hall is well equipped hall provides an ideal venue for seminars, weddings, birthdays, and other social and corporate events.

There is an outdoor swimming pool shaded by the occasional acacia tree. The pool deck has sun beds for relaxation and soaking up the afternoon sun, as well as a souvenir shop. The lodge has well-manicured gardens where guests can relax. There is a rooftop terrace which is ideal for sundowners and bird viewing.

The spacious campsite can accommodate up to 60 guests.  Sagala Lodge activities include: game drives, bird watching, nature walks, cultural visits, historical trips, and hiking and trekking in the Sagala escarpment.

Guests can enjoy visits to the Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks, Amboseli National Park, Lake Jipe, Lugard Falls, and Aruba Dam.
