Sands at Nomad Diani Beach Mombasa is a boutique resort nestled in 26 acres of pristine coastal forest on Diani Beach, about 45 kilometers from Moi International Airport. The hotel lies 4 degrees south of the equator and features a contemporary mix of nature, Swahili architecture, Italian interior decor, and Arabic antique furniture.

There are different categories of accommodation including 18 comfortable rooms, 7 exclusive beach cottages, and 12 luxurious suites. The guestrooms are individually designed and furnished with an inspired combination of Swahili objects d’art furniture and the finest mahogany woodwork.

Each unit is en-suite and features air conditioning, a telephone, and a minibar. The beach cottages feature palm thatch makuti roofs that sweep up from floor level cocooning the verandas.

The suites feature large bathrooms with showers and bathtubs and a Jacuzzi on a private veranda. Some suites have spacious rooms furnished with antique Swahili beds.

The Sands at Nomad offers guests a first-class dining experience with 3 superb restaurants on-site, serving a selection of dishes from around the world. Indulging in delicious, healthy food is an integral part of The Sands’ experience.

In keeping with our Thinking Green philosophy, food is expertly prepared in our kitchens by our Executive Chef and his team using locally sourced ingredients. Fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, and eggs are harvested on the Nomad organic farm, which uses the guiding principles of permaculture farming. 

The bars; Rivas Bar and The Beach Bar offer international cocktails and beverages and also boast an extensive juice and ice-cream menu. The resort offers ideal venues for weddings. The venues include the sandy beach, under an 800-year-old Baobab tree in the tropical gardens, and the gazebo over the swimming pool.

The ‘Forest Breeze’ center with a parlor and forest-located huts for open-air massages, offers massages and facials, pedicures and manicures,s and personalized natural beauty treatments. Personalized private lessons for aerobics, Zumba, and yoga. There is an outdoor pool with sun loungers on the pool terrace.
