Shimoni Reef Lodge is situated in Shimoni Village South Coast Kenya about 40 minutes from Ukunda South Coast – and 2 hours from Mombasa International Airport.  Shimoni Reef Lodge is located adjacent to the village of Shimoni on the remote southern coast of Kenya. The quiet fishing village of Shimoni is located 561 kilometers to the southeast of the capital city of Nairobi. Mombasa is located near the north side of Shimoni and the distance between Mombasa to Shimoni is 73 kilometers/46 Miles

Shimoni Reef Lodge is a 4-star luxury resort located adjacent to the village of Shimoni on the remote southern coast of Kenya, about 50 kilometers from Diani Beach. Shimoni Reef Lodge is situated about one and a half hours from Mombasa and forty-five minutes from Diani.  Shimoni, a port village on Kenya’s coast is very near the border with Tanzania.

The quiet fishing village of Shimoni is located 561 kilometers to the southeast of the capital city of Nairobi while Mombasa is about 73 kilometers away. There are 6 spacious comfortable cottages and a residential house. The cottages are tastefully fitted with bedrooms, sitting rooms, and furnished private terraces. The bathrooms are en-suite with showers and flush toilets.

The residential house; Coral House is a 2-bedroom house fitted with a well-equipped kitchen, sitting room, and a furnished terrace. The house can accommodate up to 3 guests and is on a self-catering basis. The onsite restaurant serves a wide range of mouth-watering dishes that are a mixture of Swahili, Zanzibar, Arabic, Indian, and African tastes.

Perched on the edge of the Wasini channel, with commanding views of the Tanzanian Usambara mountain range you’ll enjoy cool ocean breezes while covered by a canopy of tropical trees visited by monkeys, bush babies, and birds. Guests enjoy their meals on the zen-like verandah overlooking the channel and with views of Tanzania, Wasini Island, and the ocean.

The well-stocked bar offers a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. The open-plan area includes a lounge and an outdoor deck where guests can relax, read a book or even enjoy fresh coconut cocktails. There is a spa where guests get to relax and enjoy mind and rejuvenation treatments. Shimoni Reef Lodge has a lagoon-inspired pool that is flanked by sunbeds on the terrace.

Activities in this Mombasa South Coast Hotel include snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, boat rides, kite surfing, and low-tide walks. Guests may also enjoy visits to the Shimba Hills National Reserve, Dolphin trips, Shimoni slave Caves, and Wasini Island.

* Rooms all have hot showers as well as linen, towels, and beach bathrobes and we supply pool towels. Housekeeping is done daily
* All rooms have a terrace as well so you can also have your breakfast served on your terrace if you prefer. All rooms are similarly furnished
* Complimentary light breakfast is included. Breakfast includes a light meal of fresh fruits, coffee, tea, fresh juice, toast, donuts, and a choice of eggs. Hot extra dishes such as sausages and bacon can be ordered at an extra cost
