Southern Palms Beach Resort has 298 guestrooms set in almost 10 acres of beautifully tended tropical gardens. Each guestroom tastefully features Pili-Pili carved four-poster double beds, telephone, fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, electronic safe, and balconies with Swahili easy chairs. The bathrooms are en-suite with walk-in showers.

The hotel houses 6 onsite restaurants that offer a wide selection of local and international dishes. The main restaurant is inspired by the Swahili style with a grand Makuti roof and a floor decorated in mosaic.

Boriti Restaurant overlooks the Indian Ocean and offers snacks and light lunches of pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Manyatta Grill Restaurant under a domed canopy next to the pool serves enticing grilled meat, game, and fish.

La Via Romana Restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine and guests enjoy dining under the sun. El Nomad Lebanese Restaurant offers Lebanese dishes. There are 4 bars;  The Main Bar, The Lake Palace Bar, The Boriti Bar, and The Beach Bar. A range of alcoholic and soft drinks are served in the well-stocked bars.
