The Morani Wing is nestled within the sprawling plains of the 110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the Laikipia region, offering unparalleled access to one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries. Because the wing is an exclusive section of the Sweetwaters Serena Camp, guests use the same primary access routes.

By Road

Distance from Nairobi: 217 km north of Nairobi
Travel Time: Transfers by road from the capital take approximately 3.5 to 4 hours
The Route: The drive typically follows the A2 highway through Thika and Karatina up to Nanyuki town. From Nanyuki, it is a 25 km drive to the conservancy gates and into the camp

By Air

Flight Time: A 45-minute flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to the Nanyuki Airstrip
Transfers: The camp is located exactly 25 km from the Nanyuki Airstrip and 25 km from the Kamok Airstrip (which is situated inside the conservancy), allowing for a brief, scenic game-drive transfer directly to your luxury tent.

The Morani Wing features 17 deluxe luxury tents, elegantly designed and categorized into double, twin, and triple configurations. Of these, 14 tents are elevated on raised platforms, each with a private balcony featuring comfortable safari chairs and tables for uninterrupted wilderness viewing.

The rooms have tea/coffee-making facilities, safes, mosquito nets, hot showers, free WI-FI, premium bath amenities, a work desk, a chair, a coffee/tea-making station, a robe, a hairdryer, and a safe (located in the manager’s office). 14 of the tents are on raised platforms, each with a private balcony featuring safari chairs and tables.

The Rhino dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the waterhole and serves a selection of African, Asian, and international dishes. There are 2 bars, one is located within the house and features a blazing log fire and a typically colonial ambiance.

The other is Water Hole Bar, which is located in a traditional ‘hide’ that overlooks the water and offers unique opportunities for wildlife viewing. There is a wide selection of old and new world wines, local and imported beers, and spirits

There is also a wide range of soft drinks, including freshly made local fruit juices and the finest Kenyan coffee and tea. The bar serves a wide range of fruit and herbal infusions.
