Thomson’s Falls Lodge is a 3-star hotel located in Nyahururu Town overlooking the Ole Ngare Naro River, at the world’s famous Thomson’s Falls. Nyaharuru is in the central part of Kenya. The Lodge is 175 km from Kenya’s capital Nairobi, 3 hours’ drive by road.

Thomson’s Falls Lodge is 1 km from Marmanet Forest and 54 km from Lake Nakuru National Park. The lodge is 7,800 feet above sea level and sits on a 10-acre lawn that is shaded with African olives, cedar trees among other exotic trees.

There are 36 guestrooms comprising standard rooms, deluxe rooms, honeymoon suites, and cottages. Each en-suite room is tastefully fitted with satellite TV, telephone, table and chair, tea/coffee making facilities, and a cozy fireplace.

The cottages still maintain their colonial unique architecture and are surrounded by well-manicured and mature gardens. They each have 2 rooms, a spacious furnished lounge, fridge, and bathtubs.

Meals can be served on the garden restaurant on the beautiful lawns of the falls from where guests can hear the gushing fall of the water or in the main restaurant inside the colonial building, resonated by the wooden and solid architectures of the days gone by.

There is an in-house bar that serves both local and international beverages. There are elegantly furnished lounges with fireplaces to keep the guests warm in the chilly evenings as they are relaxing.

Thomsons Falls Lodge Nyahururu has 2 conference rooms that can accommodate between 40- 350 guests. The halls are having PA systems, flip charts, marker pens, power sockets, and a technician on call.

The lodge has beautiful and well-manicured lawns that provide ideal venues for weddings and camping sites. In the evening bonfires are lit in different designated areas where guests can sit around the fire pit with drinks and have a recap of the day’s adventures or even listen to African stories and history about the lodge.

Thomson’s Falls Lodge activities include; bird watching, nature trails, game drives, trout fishing, and a walk to Hippo point. This is a popular base for high altitude training used by international athletes.
