Day 1: Lake Nakuru National Park Safari
0600 Hours – 0900: Departure from Nairobi (or local pick-up) and arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park.
0900 Hours – 1300: Hours: Morning game drive. Highlights include viewing rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and flamingos. Visit the viewpoints and Makalia Falls
1300 Hours – 1430 Hours: Lunch at a lodge inside the park or near Nakuru town
1430 Hours – 1700 Hours: Afternoon game drive, offering a chance to see lions and leopards.
1700 Hours – 2000 Hours: Drive to Kisumu City (approx. 3-4 hours) and check in at the hotel
2000 Hours: Dinner and overnight in Kisumu
Day 2: Kisumu Impala Sanctuary & Lakeside Relaxation
0800 Hours – 0900 Hours: Breakfast at the hotel
0900 Hours – 1200 Hours: Visit the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary (3km from the city center). Enjoy walking trails to see impalas, sitatunga antelope, lions, giraffes, and primates.

2 Days 1 Night Lake Nakuru Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Tour combines a visit to Lake Nakuru National Park and the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary located in Kisumu.
Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary, home to over 400 bird species, including large flocks of flamingos and many other water birds.
Lake Nakuru also offers sanctuary to large numbers of native African animals, including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos, and occasionally leopards.
A large herd of hippos has a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing. Explore Kisumu town on a short city tour, Lake Victoria, and the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary.
Kisumu Impala Sanctuary has all the big 5 animals except the Elephant. Captive animals include the leopard, spotted hyena, blue monkey, patas monkeys, grey parrots, and buffalo.
Others include grey duikers, ostriches, hartebeest, cheetahs, lions, lionesses, white rhinos, guinea fowl, tortoises, and serval cats.
Kisumu Impala Sanctuary is less than 1 square kilometer and is a key site for research, education, and recreation worldwide.
2 Days 1 Night Lake Nakuru Kisumu Impala Sanctuary Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Lake Nakuru (Game Drive) – Proceed to Kisumu City
0630 Hours: After breakfast at your hotel, we depart by road to Lake Nakuru National Park.
We make a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley to admire the Scenic beauty of the valley below, the escarpment, Mt Longonot, and Mt Suswa in the distance.
0900 Hours: We arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed on a game drive. We drive through the unique vegetation and the biggest euphorbia forest in Africa. Lake Nakuru is a large, shallow lake surrounded by marshes, woodland, and grassland.
Lake Nakuru is home to a huge number of native African animals, including waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, endangered black rhino, white rhino, and occasionally, leopards.

1230 Hours: We enjoy our packed lunch boxes at one of the Viewpoints: the Lion Hill, Baboon Cliff, or Out of Africa.
1400 Hours: After lunch, we proceed to Kisumu, making a brief stop in Kericho town. Kericho is the main town in Kenya’s tea-producing region, and you will see enormous tea plantations.
1800 Hours: Arrive in Kisumu City. Kisumu is a port city and a terminal for the Kenya/Uganda Railway—check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Visit Kisumu Impala Sanctuary/ City Tour of Kisumu – Drive/ Fly back to Nairobi
0800 Hours: Breakfast at the hotel, then visit the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. The park is less than 1 square kilometre. Spend about 2 hours in the sanctuary, which is home to all the big five animals except the Elephant.
Captive animals include the leopard, spotted hyena, blue monkeys, patas monkeys, grey parrots, buffaloes, grey duikers, ostriches, hartebeest, cheetahs, lions, lionesses, white rhinos, guinea fowl, tortoises, and serval cats, amongst others.
1000 Hours: We proceed for a short city tour of Kisumu Town. We tour the city centre and Kisumu market, one of the busiest and largest in Kenya.
The market provides a fascinating glimpse into the day-to-day existence of the people of Western Kenya. Our Kisumu city tour includes visits to small villages around Lake Victoria that interest our travellers.
Ndunga Beach, a fishing village near Kisumu, is a wonderful place to experience the traditional way of life of the lake fishermen.
1200 hours: Next is lunch at a hotel/lodge, a lakeside fish restaurant, or a local barbecue joint.
1300 Hours: We return to Nairobi by road/flight.
1900 Hours: We arrive in Nairobi and drop you off at your hotel/ residence.
