Day 1: Arrival & Exploration Tsavo West National Park
0700 Hours – 0800 Hours: Pick-up from Mombasa hotels or the airport to begin the 4-hour drive (approx. 240 km) to Tsavo West National Park
1230 Hours: Arrival and check-in at your lodge in time for lunch
1500 Hours – 1600 Hours: Afternoon game drive. Highlights include Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear oasis where you can view hippos and crocodiles from an underwater viewing tank.
Shetani Lava Flow: Rugged landscapes formed by recent volcanic activity
1830 Hours: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Tsavo West National Park to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
0600 Hours – 0630 Hours: Early-morning game drive in Tsavo West to catch predators before the sun gets too high

1030 Hours – 1300 Hours: Scenic drive toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Day 1: Mombasa – Drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Game Sanctuary
0800 Hours; After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Mombasa, you will depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge.
After lunch, game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. During our afternoon game drive, you may see lions, cheetahs, baboons, giraffes, elephants, etc. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. Salt Lick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure.
A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-store towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress.
The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind – you can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.

Day 2: Taita Hills Wildlife Game Sanctuary – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Today we depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned.
The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges, and outcrops.
With a permanent water source, the Park virtually guarantees enormous herds and excellent game viewing, including Cheetah, Lion, Leopard, and Hyena, and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants.
