Our 3-Day Angama Mara Lodge Luxury Fly-In Safari Package is designed for time-pressed travelers who want a quick, luxurious way to see the Masai Mara National Reserve with an expert guide.

We also call it the Big Five safaris, and it departs daily from Nairobi or Mombasa. Your professional guide will meet you at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip. His knowledge of the region and anecdotes will ensure a memorable trip as you seek out the area’s diverse wildlife.

Whether you are a family or a group of friends, this is a great way to spend a few days in the bush, encountering herds of Wildebeest, elephants, and zebras, or spotting the region’s prowling predators.

Return to camp in the evenings and savor a delicious meal. Swap stories of the day’s encounters around a cozy fire and listen to the sounds of the African night – the call of a Leopard or the roar of a lion in the distance.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara (Flight & First Game Drive)

0700 Hours – 0830 Hours: Wake up and arrange your transfer from your hotel or residence to Wilson Airport in Nairobi (plan to arrive at least 1 hour before departure for check-in and luggage screening; note the strict 15 kg/ 33 lb internal flight baggage limit).
Morning 0900 Hours: Board your scheduled domestic light aircraft flight from Wilson Airport to the local Maasai Mara/Mara Triangle airstrip (~45 to 60 minutes).
Late Morning 1030 Hours – 1100 Hours: Arrive at the airstrip where an Angama Mara driver-guide greets you and takes you on a short scenic game drive en route to the lodge.
1230Hours –1300 Hours: Check in at Angama Mara. (Perched 300 meters above the Great Rift Valley) and settle into your glass-fronted suite. Enjoy lunch out on the deck or in the baraza.
1530 Hours – 1600 Hours: Afternoon tea or coffee, followed by your late-afternoon game drive into the Mara Triangle to search for the Big Five and resident wildlife.
1800 Hours: Return to the lodge for a sundowner (traditional dawa cocktail) overlooking the escarpment, followed by a gourmet dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration of the Maasai Mara

0630 Hours – 0700 Hours: Early morning tea/coffee and departure for an early morning game drive (prime time for active predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs)
0830 Hours – 0930 Hours: Return to the lodge for a full breakfast
Mid-Day: Relax at the lodge facilities (infinity pool, fitness center, or spa), or head out with a packed picnic lunch to explore deeper into the reserve, reaching iconic spots like the Mara River (famous for the annual wildebeest migration between July and October)
1530 Hours: Afternoon game drive, guided bush walk, or optional cultural visit to a neighboring Maasai village
1800 Hours: Evening return to the camp for a fireside chat, sundowner, and dinner under the stars at Angama Mara

Day 3: Morning Safari & Return Flight to Nairobi

0600 Hours – 0800 Hours: Optional early morning game drive or peaceful morning at leisure on your private deck
0830 Hours – 0930 Hours: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge and check out
1000 Hours – 1100 Hours: Scenic transfer back to the local airstrip for your morning return flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi
Afternoon: Arrive back in Nairobi, where a transfer driver meets you to drop you off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi by air to Maasai Mara in the morning; you will then be picked up from the airstrip and transferred to the Lodge. Game drive en route. Arrive at Angama in time for lunch.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure, followed by an evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight at the Angama Mara Lodge.

Day 2: Explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve

Full day of game viewing. Enjoy game drives with a high chance of spotting the big five, herds of wildebeest, antelopes, birds, zebras, and much more wildlife.

Drive to the Mara River to see where the wildebeest annual migration happens. Enjoy your picnic lunch, then head back to the lodge with a game drive en route.

Enjoy the lodge facilities in the evening followed by a sundowner, a bonfire, and a sumptuous dinner.

Dinner and overnight at the Angama Mara Lodge.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Fly back to Nairobi

Depart for an optional early morning game drive and later return to the lodge for breakfast. You will then be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
