Amazing Mara Camp

Amazing Mara Camp is a boutique eco-camp situated on a private stretch of the Talek River in a private 300-acre piece of paradise. The camp is situated in the middle of the Maasai Mara and offers easy access to both the northern and southern sides of the Talek River. All of the main migration crossing points are within easy reach from the camp and in the heart of big cat country. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250 km. It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45 minutes. The nearest airport is Ol Kiombo, 20 minutes drive from the camp.

Amazing Mara Camp features 7 spacious permanent tents which have been tastefully decorated and furnished with single, double, and triple beds with mosquito nets. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, washbasins, and hot showers. Each tent has a veranda and sitting areas, so you relax while overlooking the savannah plains, and views across the Talek River.

Amazing Mara Camp includes early morning game drives & afternoon game drives, guided nature walks, hot air balloon safari, seeing the Wildebeest Migration, birdwatching safari, visiting Mfangano Island or Rusinga Island on Lake Victoria, visiting the Mara River horseback safari, and Maasai cultural visits.

Amazing Mara Camp consists of just 7 en-suite guest tents, all equipped with 24-hour solar power, amazing outdoor showers and all offering gorgeous views across the Talek River into the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

The camp is specifically designed to offer every guest the chance to feel like they are the only guests in camp! Each tent is en-suite, complete with flush toilets and hot showers 24 hours a day. (Perfect for washing away the safari dust at the end of a long and enjoyable day…) All tents have their own independent power stations, allowing 24-hour uninterrupted power and lighting. 

Amazing Mara Camp boasts some exceptional chefs, who pride themselves on food full of flavor, prepared from the freshest ingredients available.  The food is sourced from sustainable and organic vegetable farms. The chefs have been internationally trained to cater to any and every dietary request.

​The Maasai Mara is world-renowned for its density of big cats and offers unparalleled experiences for both the keen photographer and the casual wildlife watcher alike. Guests regularly see all of the big cats before lunch and often see the Big Five during their stay! The “Mara” also hosts an amazing variety of smaller mammals, primates, and reptiles and is every bird lover’s paradise!

* Children between 3 and 12 years old pay 60% of the per person adult sharing rate per night
* If an adult is sharing a tent with a child, they will be charged the person sharing rate and the child pays 60% of the same rate

* Extra Charge – 15 US Dollars  bed night fees per night
* Exclusive use of vehicle can only be guaranteed at an extra charge of 350 US Dollars  per day

Masai Mara Park Fees

* 100 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st January to 30th June
* 200 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st July to 31st December
* 50 US Dollars per child, per night all year (aged 3 to 17 years inclusive)
