Dorobo Mobile Camp Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Dorobo Mobile Camp is a movable Safari Camp in carefully selected campsites inside Mara Naboisho Conservancy in Masai Mara. Naboisho Conservancy has located 3 km from the Masai Mara Sekenani gate. The camp is about 6 hours from Nairobi by road.

The hunter-gatherers of the Maasai people are known as Dorobo. Inspired by the wanderings of the Dorobo people, we are delighted to offer the unique opportunity to partake in several days of walking and mobile camping providing you with direct contact with nature and wildlife in private and secluded sites within the Mara Naboisho Conservancy.

Dorobo Bush Camp Mara Naboisho has 10 spacious khaki canvas tents each furnished with twin beds (total of 20 beds) with a shared eco-toilet and solar-heated shower that is open to the sky. The camp has classic and authentic movable camping tents.

There is a mess tent where guests enjoy a three-course dinner under the stars, followed by Masai storytelling around the campfire. The camp has a fully equipped bush bar where guests can enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Experiential learning whereby guests gain an authentic and intimate responsible traveler experience through full-day walking tours with naturalist Masai guides. Every evening guests enjoy sun-downers by the campfire and bush dinners under star-studded skies.

Our walks start in the morning from a chosen location, typically the camps. Following a few hours of walking, a picnic lunch is served in the shade of a tree.  The afternoon walk takes you to the campsite where specially designed mobile tents and a fireplace await. Following a wholesome in-the-bush dinner, there will be storytelling and stargazing around the fireplace.

By removing all unnecessary distractions, we aim to bring guests closer to the very essence of the African Savannah. By walking with the Maasai you will get an authentic insight into the culture of the Maasai people – our friends and partners. The duration of the safari program can be adjusted to suit guest preferences.

The camp enjoys stunning views of the nearby hills, plains, and green vegetation and provides excellent camping sites and photography scenes for visitors.
