It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45 minutes. The camp is approximately 5 minute’s drive from the Musiara Airstrip. Situated in the northern, less traversed region of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Enkusero Mara is perfectly positioned to be in the center of the action, but secluded enough to offer the most extraordinary of safari experiences. f

Enkusero, pronounced (enku-say-row), is named after the great marshy land otherwise known as the Musiara Marsh. Home of the Marsh pride of lions made famous by BBC’s Big Cat Diary TV series, the marsh is a perennial source of water that has served both wildlife and Maasai tribes with a lifeline for centuries.

In the dry season, herds of elephants and buffalo congregate at the marsh making it prime wildlife viewing territory. With resident plains game abundant throughout the year, the marsh is a hotbed of activity that intensifies with the arrival of the annual Great Migration of zebra and wildebeest.
