Fig Tree Camp Masai Mara

Fig Tree Camp Masai Mara is a luxury safari camp located on the banks of the Talek River in Africa’s most famous Game Reserve, the Masai Mara. The Camp is situated on the northern border of the national reserve and its central location makes all areas of the park accessible during game drives.

The Masai Mara is about 240 km from Nairobi approximately 4.5 Hours by road, Narok is the closest town about a 2 hours drive and 110 km away. Keekorok Airstrip and Kneeler Airstrip are both 24 km away from the camp.

Fig Tree Camp Masai Mara has 80 luxury tents comprising 38 Safari Tents overlooking the Talek River, each with a double and single bed, 32 Garden Chalets with double and single beds, and 10 Superior Ngamboli Tents on the banks of the Talek River.

The Ngamboli tents are super luxury tents located on a private wing of the Camp with open views over the Mara game reserve. All rooms are en-suite with private balconies and an en-suite tiled bathroom featuring a flush toilet, shower, and single-sink vanity in a contemporary design.

Each room has four-poster beds with mosquito nets, a seating area, Parquet floors, a desk, and a private balcony with comfortable safari chairs and a small table.

Fig Tree Camp has several facilities and services to ensure you have a comfortable stay. These include two bars, the main dining room, an open-air dining area, and a tree house coffee deck. Guests can relax and lounge in the swimming pool after a game drive. Also available is a video room, guest lecture facilities, and a curio shop.

The camp has a resident nurse and a medical clinic. New additions at Fig Tree Camp include new conference rooms, driver/guide accommodation, and a new dining area overlooking the Talek River.

The Masai Mara is home to the “Big Five” and the magical spectacle of the wildebeest migration. The park is abundant with a diverse range of fascinating wildlife, rolling plains, and lush forests.

The vast, fertile plains of the Maasai Mara boast a plethora of wildlife with over 450 bird species and both resident and transient populations of lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few, the plains are dense with game.
