The Kong Private Wilderness in Naivasha straddles the slopes of Mount Longonot and borders Hell’s Gate National Park to the West. Various activities are on offer during your stay at the Mount Longonot Lodge.
Amongst the many species of wildlife that roam freely in the open plains of Naivasha Kedong, Private Wilderness includes eland, giraffe, Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Impala, Gazelle, Hartebeest, Warthog, Hyena, Jackal, Bat-Eared Fox, and Spring Hare.
Occasionally, Cheetah, Leopard, and Aardvark are seen. About 10,000 heads of wild animals are counted annually. Over 475 different species of birds have been identified in the Naivasha Kedong Private Wilderness.

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Kedong Ranch Conservancy Naivasha
0800 Hours: Kedong Ranch Conservancy in Naivasha is our destination today. You will be picked up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel residence in Nairobi and driven to Naivasha.
1000 Hours: Arrive in Naivasha and proceed for a boat ride on the lake. A short boat trip from the mainland out into Lake Naivasha gives you access to the unique Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary.
A wide variety of wildlife, birdlife, and flora live quite freely out there, and as there are no predators to be found, quite happily as well. There is a lot of easy-to-see game, e.g., giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas. It is also a haven for birds, with over 200 species recorded.
The lake has many hippos, which you can easily spot on the island. Spend some time wandering around at your own pace and enjoy the peace broken only by the sounds of the Islands’ wild inhabitants.
1300 Hours: Return to the mainland and proceed to Kedong Ranch Conservancy, Naivasha, to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, check into your rooms at the Kedong Ranch House.
1400 Hours: Afternoon, you may opt to relax at the lodge or take a nature walk, game drive, Bush sundowners, and later a night game drive.

Day 2: Activities to Partake in while at the Kedong Ranch House

Alternatively, you can relax at the lodge, swim, or, in the afternoon, visit Elsamere Lodge and the conservation center for tea.
