Ololo Safari Lodge is nestled right on the southern edge of Nairobi National Park, situated along the scenic banks of the Mbagathi River. It offers a unique setting where guests have seamless access to a wilderness haven of over 100 mammal species, all while being remarkably close to the bustling capital.
By Road

✓ The Route: From the airport or Nairobi city center, you will be driven to the Main Gate of Nairobi National Park, located on Langata Road. (Guests arriving by their own car or with a tour operator can also arrange to be met here)
✓ The Journey: At the Main Gate, you will be met by an Ololo guide and transferred into a custom 4×4 safari vehicle. The final 30-minute drive to the lodge acts as an exciting introductory game drive straight through the national park
By Air

Ololo Safari Lodge & Farm is a luxury colonial farm/ranch House perfectly situated on the banks of the Mbagathi River, which meanders along the southern border of the Nairobi National Park.
Ololo is a mere 45 minutes from the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya. Ololo Safari Lodge is a 45-minute drive through Nairobi National Park to JKIA international airport and Wilson domestic airport. Kenya. The secluded location feels like a world away from the busy center as guests discover when they cross the suspension bridge and walk up to the lodge.
The main lodge, built of stone and clad with Ficus vine, was once an old Kenyan family homestead. Panoramic views can be taken in from the shady terraces overlooking the park and to the famed Ngong Hills in the west.
There are 5 styles of rooming categories at Ololo. All are unique and eclectic in different ways. 2- Suites: Terrace Suite & Tower Suite, 3-Tented Cottages, 7 old original Stable Rooms, 1- three-bedroom Stable Cottage & 1-family wing: sleeping 5 Guests.
Terrace Suite – located in the original part of the family home, the terrace suite is spacious, with a living area, a king-sized bed, a fireplace, a private terrace, and a marble bathroom with a roll-top bath. It is perfect for honeymooners or romantic getaways. This room is large enough to add an extra bed for children.
Tower Suite – Built into a stone-clad tower with magnificent views over the park, the tower room is light-filled and airy with contemporary features. The king-sized bed can be arranged as a twin. The Terrace and the Tower Suites can be interconnected, perfect for parents downstairs and older children upstairs.
7-year-old original Stable Rooms – Originally built as stables for horses and later converted to guestrooms, the stables, smaller than our other rooms, are beautifully appointed with attention to historical detail. Each has views out to the Ololo gardens with self-contained bathrooms with showers.
The three-bedroom Stable Cottage – a three-bedroom & two-bathroom cottage which was once the farm’s original hay shed, the cottage has been lovingly converted and is light-filled with an open living and dining area, a small kitchen, and a terrace overlooking the park and our gardens. Ideal for families or traveling groups.
1-family wing- The light-filled family wing overlooks the Nairobi National Park and has its own Private terrace, open-plan living area, and a small kitchenette with two bathrooms. Ololo Safari Lodge rooms are individually decorated and feature earthy tones and modern Colonial-style furnishings. All beds are draped with a mosquito net, and a hairdryer and free toiletries are provided.
Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and open-air restaurant by the pool, overlooking the national park. The restaurant focuses on simple home-style cuisine, using seasonal ingredients and vegetables from their own garden.
The guest lounge is located in the original thatched farmhouse and features an open fireplace, a wine cellar, and a small library for guests’ enjoyment. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge.
