7 Day Kenya Safari Tsavo West Amboseli & Masai Mara | Kenya Safari 7 Days 6 Nights Masai Mara, Amboseli & Tsavo | 2 Nights Tsavo, 2 Nights Amboseli & 2 Nights Masai Mara Safari | 7 Days Kenya Road Safaris

Masai Mara Tours & Safari Packages

This 7-day classic Kenya road safari adventure explores some of the most prolific game viewing locations in all of Africa. Your safari could start from Nairobi or Mombasa and end up in Nairobi.

Begin with 2 Nights in Tsavo West National park, a popular destination with magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife and a rhino reserve, before moving to Amboseli National Park, home to famous large tusked elephants and views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.

Then head to the Masai Mara National Reserve and experience the thrill of tracking Africa’s Big Five and watching millions of wildebeest and zebras during their annual migration crossing the Mara River.

Departing Nairobi by road we drive for about five hours to reach Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo East and Tsavo West combined to make one of the biggest game reserves in the world, at about 22700 km².

Tsavo is famous for the man-eating lions of Tsavo, which preyed on railway workers in colonial times. Home to Africa’s Big Five – buffalos, leopards, elephants, rhinos and the notorious lions – and giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, hyenas and plenty of antelopes.

Continue by road to Amboseli, a scenic park known as one of the best places to get up close to big herds of elephants, making for amazing photos with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Amboseli National Park hosts a variety of big mammals and an array of birds.

Elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, Maasai giraffe and buffalo are some of the big game you may see on a game drive. Plains game is prolific and includes gerenuk, fringe-eared oryx, Burchells’ zebra, eland, Coke’s hartebeest, white-bearded wildebeest, common waterbuck, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle and impala.

From Amboseli, we drive to Nairobi where we have lunch then continue to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This is where it happens – one of the most spectacular wildlife shows on earth, the Great Wildebeest Migration. The Big Five and other animals can be seen roaming on the open grasslands scattered with thorn trees.

After 2 nights in the Masai Mara, we drive back to Nairobi and return home with magical memories of all that you have experienced and a plethora of wildlife photographs to share with your friends and family.

After breakfast in your city hotel in Nairobi, we depart by road and travel southeast to Tsavo West National Park. We arrived at Tsavo West in time for lunch and later enjoy an afternoon game drive. We explore Chyulu Hills and Mzima Springs, home to numerous hippos and crocodiles.

At Mzima Springs we can view the hippos swimming beneath the surface of the water, from the underwater viewing chamber. The scenic Tsavo West Park covers a wide variety of landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks, extinct volcanic cones and rolling plains.

The dramatic Chyulu Hills form a collection of ancient volcanic cinder cones with splendid views of Kilimanjaro and populations of elands, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
