This trip can begin and end in Nairobi, or in Mombasa. The tour starts with a visit to Amboseli National Park, which is the second most popular game park after the legendary Masai Mara.
In addition to the beautiful sunsets and sunrises of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you can enjoy an eclectic array of animals, including large herds of elephants, buffalo, impala, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, and bird watchers will be happy with a list that tops 300 species.
After 2 nights in Amboseli, we proceed by road to Tsavo West National Park, located in the Coast Province of Kenya. Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks together form one of the largest national parks in the world, covering 4% of Kenya’s total land area.
Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world, and attractions include elephants, rhinos, Hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, Buffalo, diverse plant and bird species, including the threatened corncrake and near-threatened Basra Reed Warbler.
Tsavo West offers attractions such as beautiful scenery, the Shetani lava flow, Chaimu crater, Five Sisters – cone-shaped hills, Mzima Springs, etc. After 3 Nights in Tsavo West, we depart by road to Nairobi (240 km) or Mombasa (250 km).

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Amboseli National Park
At the start of your road safari, you will be collected from your hotel in Nairobi at 07:30 am. Leaving the bustling city of Nairobi, we travel south to Amboseli National Park, located near the border with Tanzania. We arrive at our luxury camp/lodge inside Amboseli National Park in time for lunch.
After lunch at camp, we take an afternoon game drive in the beautiful Amboseli National Park.
Then we have dinner and overnight at a comfortable eco-camp in Amboseli National Park (or similar accommodation).

Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Day 2 is set aside for a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park. We explore this scenic game reserve on morning and afternoon game drives and have the option of visiting a Maasai village (optional extra).
Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular game parks in Kenya. Amboseli Park covers sprawling grasslands and the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.
Standing at 5896m above sea level, the snow-topped mountain forms the backdrop to game viewing in Amboseli. It hosts some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds and is famous for its large bull elephants with impressive tusks.
Amboseli is considered one of the top game parks in Africa for getting up close to elephants in the wild, and it offers some of the finest wildlife photography, with the scenic Mt Kilimanjaro in the background.
The Game Park also contains large populations of buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species, such as impalas. Amboseli National Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and many other species of plains game.
The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and falcons. We return to the same camp/lodge in Amboseli for a night under starry skies. Enjoy meals and another overnight stay at the camp/ lodge, with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Start with breakfast before leaving Amboseli for the magnificent Tsavo National Park. We drive for three and a half hours to arrive in Tsavo in time for lunch and to settle in at the camp/lodge.
Then we set off on our first 4×4 game drive in search of the wildlife found in Tsavo National Park, one of the largest game parks in the world. Back at the lodge, it’s time for dinner and relaxing in the bar with your travel companions. At night, you can hear the sounds of animals from your bed.
Tsavo East and Tsavo West together cover some 13747km², making this one of the biggest game reserves on earth. Famous for the lions of Tsavo, this reserve is also home to the rest of the Big Five of Africa – buffalo, leopards, rhinos, and elephants.
Other inhabitants include a variety of antelopes, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, and hippos.

Day 4 & 5: Explore Tsavo West National Park

Optional activities in Tsavo include walking safaris with a trained naturalist, bush dinners, visits to Mzima Springs, sundowners, and tours of the Rhino Sanctuary.
