Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Elementaita/ Nakuru       

0730 Hours – 0800 Hours: Pickup from Nairobi hotel/airport and depart
1000 Hours – 1100 Hours: Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint
1230 Hours – 1300 Hours: Arrive at Lodge/Camp at Lake Elementaita or Nakuru for lunch
1530 Hours – 1830 Hours: Afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park (rhinos/flamingos)

Day 2: Lake Elementaita/ Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

0700 Hours – 0800 Hours: Breakfast and checkout
0830 Hours – 1300 Hours: Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve (approx. 5-6 hours)
1300 Hours – 1400 Hours: Lunch at Masai Mara Camp/Lodge
1530 Hours – 1800 Hours: Afternoon game drive in the Mara

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

0600 Hours – 0630 Hours: Early morning game drive (best for predators)

4 Days 3 Nights Safari Lake Nakuru Elementaita Masai Mara is a wonderful 4-day low-cost road safari that visits the popular Lake Nakuru National Park for a Game drive, Lake Elementaita, and the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.

Our Safari begins with a visit to Lake Nakuru National Park – renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingos and many other water birds. It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

Lake Nakuru National Park also offers sanctuary to large numbers of native African animals, including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos, and occasionally leopards.

A large herd of hippos has a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

In the late afternoon, we travel to Lake Elementaita. Lake Elementaita attracts many visiting flamingoes, and the shores are grazed by zebra, gazelle, eland, and families of warthog.

At the southern end of the Lake lies the “Kekopey” hot springs, where the Tilapia grahami breed. The springs are very popular for bathing. The local Masai claim that it can cure many diseases. The reed beds nearby are fishing grounds for night herons and pelicans.

We spend 2 nights at the famous Masai Mara National Reserve – the best place to see the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) together. The famous wildebeest migration also takes place at the Mara.

The Masai Mara offers various activities, such as Game viewing – All of the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) can be spotted here. The Wildebeest Migration is a big attraction from July to October each year.

Enjoy a hot air balloon ride over the Mara, bird-watching with more than 400 recorded species, visit a Maasai village to interact with the Maasai people, and enjoy guided walking tours, horseback safaris, and bush dinners.
