Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary 2 Days 1 Night Safari from Nairobi

Our 2-Day/1-Night safari to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary (Ol Pejeta Conservancy) is a roughly 3-4-hour (210 km) trip from Nairobi, offering close-up, high-density wildlife viewing, including the Big Five and the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya.

Known for protecting the last two Northern White Rhinos in the world, the conservancy features luxurious accommodations, including Sweetwaters Serena Camp and Ol Pejeta House.

2-Day/1-Night safari to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary Highlights

The Big Five: It is one of the few places where you are almost guaranteed to see the “Big Five”: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and both black and white rhinos
Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary: Established by the Jane Goodall Institute, this is the only natural home in Kenya for rescued and orphaned chimpanzees
The Equator Crossing: Since the sanctuary sits on the equator, most tours include a stop at the Equator Sign for a photo opportunity and a water-rotation demonstration
Rhino Conservation: Home to a massive population of endangered black rhinos. You can visit the Morani Information Center or meet Baraka, a famous blind black rhino that you can feed and touch from a wooden platform
Unique Activities: Unlike many national parks, this private conservancy allows for night game drives (to see nocturnal predators like leopards and jackals), guided bush walks, and lion tracking
