Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Samburu Game Reserve
Depart early in the morning for the enchanting scrub land of the Northern Frontier, a semi arid region excellent for the photographer.

Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River.

It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa oryxes.

Day 2: Explore Samburu Game Reserve
Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand.

Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands.

The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cozy camp.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve – Drive to Aberdare National Park
We travel overland south from Samburu to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill.

After lunch and high tea, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet.

This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo.

Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy.

You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or large male Lion might put in an appearance.

Day 4: Aberdares National Park – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart the Aberdare and proceed to the Great Rift Valley. The scenic drive is via Thomson’s Falls where you stop to view the scenic waterfalls.

Game and bird viewing drives at the Lake Nakuru national park with opportunities to view Rhino.

Lake Nakuru National Park offering a wide ecological diversity, from lakeshore, woodlands, grassy plains to rocky escarpments and ridges.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we enjoy a game drive as we exit the park and drive to the Masai Mara National Park. The park is home to the big five- the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo.

After lunch, explore the Reserve on a late evening 'Spice' game drive.

Day 6 & 7: Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today and tomorrow during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.

A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 8: Masai Mara – Drive to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will head towards the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for Lunch in Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha which is one of the fresh water lake in Great Rift Valley and the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya.

The lake has no known outlet, usually a requirement for a freshwater lake and is home to over 450 species of birds.

Spend the afternoon at leisure or have several optional activities such as nature walk, biking, bird walk along the shore of the lake and visit to Crescent Island.

There also cultural dance, horse riding, rock climbing, boat trips in the lake excursions to Hell’s Gate National Park, one of the few remaining places where you can walk alongside wildlife.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Drive to Amboseli National Park
This morning we depart by road through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Masai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant.

After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 10: Explore Amboseli National Park
Full day is spent exploring this park. Amboseli covers lush grasslands and swampland fed by the melting snow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak.

The park is considered one of the top game parks in Africa to get up close to elephants in the wild, as well as offering some of the finest photographic opportunities of wildlife flanked by the scenic Mt Kilimanjaro.

The Game Park also contains huge populations of buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos and various antelope species, such as impala.

Amboseli Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, jackals, warthogs and other wildlife. The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles and falcons.

Day 11: Amboseli National Park – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart via the Sheitani lava flow for Tsavo West National Park to arrive in time for lunch at our lodge or Camp.

Tsavo West National Park has elephants, crocodiles, Vervet monkeys, antelope, baboons, giraffes, hippos and lions etc.

The park is a marvel in terms of geophysical character and plant diversity. Mzima Springs, the source of Mombasa’s water, is located here.

These springs are recharged daily with hundreds of millions of liters of crystal clear water by underground streams emanating from Chyulu Hills.

At Mzima, all sorts of animals gather for a drink particularly in the dry season. You may also be able to view hippo and crocodiles from the underwater glass tank.

Day 12: Tsavo West National Park – Drive to Tsavo East National Park
Wake up for an early game drive, then return to the hotel for breakfast then depart for Tsavo East National Park.

This park is famous for the huge herds of elephants covering in the red dust and scenic natural scenery. There is also the breathtaking Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks and the Aruba Dam.

Day 13: Discover Tsavo East National Park
Spend the whole day exploring the park. The Tsavo National Park holds a drier and flatter landscape; even one of the largest rivers in Kenya flowing through the middle.

The vegetation around Tsavo East National Park is savannah grassland with thorny bushes and some swampy marshland near Voi River.

The Athi River flanked by stately doum palms which, near the Manyani gate forms the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing crocodiles.

Mudanda Rock which is sometimes referred to as the miniature of Ayers rock in Australia is almost 2 kilometers long it juts out of the surrounding landscape.

Lugard Falls gush through a small fissure, narrow enough for the foolhardy to leap across, before dropping to Crocodile Point below, where the river changes its name to the Galana and is named after Britain's first proconsul in East Africa, Captain Lugard.

The Crocodile point where you can often find some pretty large crocs as well as plenty of other wildlife including buffalo, hippo and the highly endangered Hunter's Hartebeest.

This is also a great area for within the park for birding as well. Filled with high concentration of wildlife on the Galana River, including wide arrays of crocodiles and hippos.

The Kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks are the quite common species that you will find near the river banks.

Day 14: Tsavo East National Park – Drive to Nairobi
