Day 1: Nairobi to Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
07:30 Hours – 0800 Hours: Depart Nairobi early to avoid commuter traffic
1130 Hours – 1200 Hours: Arrive at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki
Afternoon: Lunch at the club. Spend the rest of the day crossing the Equator line, golfing, or visiting the on-site animal orphanage
Day 2: Mount Kenya Safari Club to Lake Nakuru National Park
0730 Hours: Breakfast and check-out
0800 Hours – 11:30 AM: Drive southwest toward the Great Rift Valley floor
1200 Hours: Check into your Nakuru lodge and have lunch
0330 Hours – 0630 Hours: Afternoon game drive. Tip: Ask your driver to enter through Lanet Gate if your lodge is on the east side to immediately access prime leopard zones
Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
0700 Hours: Early breakfast and checkout
0730 Hours – 1300 Hours: Drive to the Masai Mara. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint and stretch your legs in Narok town. The final 1.5 hours past Narok turn into heavily corrugated, bumpy dirt tracks
1330 Hours: Arrive at your Mara camp/lodge for lunch
1545 Hours – 1830 Hours: Evening game drive to spot big cats as the temperature cools
Day 4: Full Day in the Masai Mara
Option A (Split Drives): 0615 Hours – 0900 Hours early morning game drive (highest chance to see predator hunts). Return for a late breakfast, relax, and head back out at 1530 Hours

Your 5-day Kenya safari kicks off in the Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club, originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden. The Club’s illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby.
You’re welcome to spend your days here as you please, with many recreational activities, including horseback riding, golf, croquet, a putting green, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage, and much more.
The next stop is Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the Great Rift Valley’s most famous soda lakes, which offers visitors the chance to witness one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife sights: brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see.
When conditions are right, between one and two million lesser and greater flamingos feed around the shores of the shallow lake, which, together with tens of thousands of other water birds within a species list of around 400 birds, makes Lake Nakuru a genuine ornithologist’s paradise.
Game viewing is also good. There are large herds of waterbuck, zebras, and buffalo, as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe and more. This is one of your best chances of seeing Leopard in Kenya, and there are several large prides of Lion. You then finish off the tour with Kenya’s showpiece, the Masai Mara.
The Mara is best known for its annual Wildebeest Migration and remains an excellent wildlife destination year-round. You have time for morning and afternoon game drives in search of big cats, wild dogs, and heavyweight animals such as elephants, rhinos, and buffalo.

Day 1 Nairobi – Drive to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
0800 Hours: Depart in the morning for the exclusive Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. This club was founded by Hollywood star William Holden going back several decades and is now a Fairmont hotel property. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator in Nanyuki where you can take pictures, and watch the demonstration of water running clockwise and counter-clockwise on either side of the equator.
1300 Hours: Arrive at the hotel check-in and proceed for a sumptuous buffet lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure. The Club offers several activities such as golf, horse riding, and nature hikes.
1930 Hours: Enjoy a formal set-menu dinner in the evening.

Day 2: Mount Kenya Safari Club – Lake Nakuru National Park
0800 Hours: Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley, upon arrival proceed on a game drive. There are also several Rothschild giraffes. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the latter being seen much more frequently in recent times.
The Park also has large-sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.
1300 Hours: Lunch then relaxes as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park.
1500 Hours: An exciting game drive is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird-watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.
The Park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world-renowned and over 400 bird species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Stork.
It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.
1830 Hours: Return to the lodge/ camp for overnight

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park – Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve
0800 Hours: This morning we depart the hotel after breakfast and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino.
1300 Hours: Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon ‘Spice” game drive.
1530 Hours: The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents in the Park are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.
1830 Hours: Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve
Our full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve will be spared for the search for the big cats of the Masai Mara and the spectacular view of the famous migration. All of the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) can be spotted here. Herds of plains zebras are found throughout the park.
Other animals include giraffes, jackals, gnus, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, Topi antelope, hippos, and crocodiles in the Mara River. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size. More than 400 bird species have already been recorded, including birds of prey.
You can enjoy a colorful view of birds such as vultures, ostriches, long-crested eagles, pygmy falcons, secretary birds, marabous, red-winged Schalow’s turaco’s many others.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drive to Nairobi
0630 Hours: Our day starts with an early breakfast followed by a game drive where we can see the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo). Others include zebras, antelope, gnus, Oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and others.
The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion.
1000 Hours: We return to the lodge/ camp to freshen up, check out and depart for Nairobi by road.
1100 Hours: A leisurely scenic 5-hour drive brings us to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon (between 1800 Hours and -1900 Hours). We transfer you to your hotel or residence.
